CMS User Types (Groups)
CMS uses groups to determine the role for each user that maintains the website. By default, three groups are installed;- Admin: has access to all CMS functions; Designer: has access to all the Layout functions for creating templates, stylesheets, etc.; Editor: has access to the Content Editing functions for maintaining the content (page text, footer text, images, news articles, ...) of the website. The CMS Administrator creates userids and then associates them to a group according to their role.
CMS Group Permissions
The groups themselves can have permissions turned on or off thereby changing the way they operate. New groups can be created and assigned permissions as required for the particular role of that group.
